Library Policies

Library Cards 

A library card is issued free of charge to any person who has completed
the application form and can provide verification of mailing address.

Your library card can be used at the libraries in the following locations:

  • Clarksburg
  • Davis
  • Esparto
  • Knights Landing
  • West Sacramento
  • Winters
  • Yolo

Examples of acceptable verification of address:

  • Current California driver's license
  • Current California ID card
  • Current utility bill
  • Printed Checks, etc.

 

 

There is no minimum age limit for library cards. Children ages 0-4 are eligible to apply for a library card. A parent or legal guardian must sign the child’s application and is responsible for any fines, fees, damage, or lost items.

Your card must be presented whenever materials are checked out.
The cost of a replacement card is $1.

Loan Periods

Books: 3 weeks
Audio Cassettes: 3 weeks
DVD’s: 1 week
Magazines: 1 week
Video Cassettes: 1 week
Documents: 3 days

Overdue Charges

Fines and/or fees are charged for lost, overdue, or damaged materials. Materials returned on or before the due date incur no fines.

Delinquency Policy

An account is considered delinquent and no further materials may be borrowed or renewed if there are unpaid charges of $10 or more on the account.
